 Changes in Council operations and construction of new office space
will reduce the Council’s carbon footprint. Leading by example, the
Council aims to encourage the adoption of environmentally sustainable practices
across the Borough.
Any new development will be required to adopt the highest standard of environmentally
friendly sustainable design and construction, including demolition and long-term
management (such as waste recycling). It should be efficient in use of
energy, water and other resources.
The redevelopment of the Bexleyheath site provides a unique opportunity to
incorporate renewable energy technology (heating, cooling and power). |
