Census Results 2001 - Key Statistics

The next set of results from the 2001 census has now been released by National Statistics. They build on the overall population figure for the borough, which was released on 30 September 2002, showing the population of Bexley on 29 April 2001 was 218,307.

The data, released on 13 February 2003, gives a summary of the results of the Census for the UK as a whole; England and Wales; Government Office Regions; and local authorities.
Figures at ward and Output Area level are expected to be released on 30 June 2003 and further specially commissioned tables, such as workplace statistics, will be released late summer.

The following links show key statistics for the borough as a whole, and for comparative purposes, both the London and England corresponding data.
