"This
acknowledgement of our efforts by the Audit Commission proves that the Council
is right to continue to focus effort on front-line services that enhance the
quality of life of residents and businesses in the borough.
"I am proud of what we're achieving,
but not complacent: excellent doesn't mean perfect. However, our programme
of change is ongoing. Over the next year we will, with our partners and
the community, continue to work on a range of projects aimed at making
Bexley an even better place to live and work."
Leader of the Council (May 2002 - 2006),
Councillor Chris Ball |
