If you want to search the entire library for a particular word
or phrase, simply type the word or phrase into the space in the
toolbar below...
... and click on the 'Go' button or press Enter
on your keyboard. Any folders holding documents that contain the
word or phrase will be marked with a tick.
The above toolbar is also made available for entering searches
from most of the Library pages.
You can search for any word or phrase, either within the document
you are reviewing or within the entire library. By indexing each
word in every document, the system can provide instant access to
the subject matter you are looking for.
How to use the Search facility - Detailed Instructions
To...
then...
search using wildcards
use the * (asterisk) character.
For example, document* will find all words
beginning with document, such as document, documents, documentation
and so on.
search using proximity
use the ... (ellipsis / 3 full stops) character.
For example, quality...document will find
these words in either order of each other within the same
paragraph.
search using wildwords
use the * (asterisk) character between two (2) search words.
For example, quality * system will find Quality
Control System, Quality Management System, and so on.
search for two or more words or phrases in a topic
use the AND operator.
For example, quality AND system.
find topics containing either word or phrase
use the OR operator.
For example quality OR system.
end a search
click the End Search toolbar button.
When your search results are returned
After a search, the Headings frame (on the left) shows the number
of times the word or phrase has been found in each section.

start a new search
Clear
end the active search.
First
go to the first match found of the word or phrase.
