Investor in People
Bexley Council first achieved Investors in People accreditation in December 2002. One of the first local authorities in London to gain the award. In her assessment Claire Crayfor of Investors of People described Bexley as a "an ambitious, dynamic and forward-looking organisation."
She added: "Overall, this is a successful, confident and buoyant organisation which achieves high standards and is well regarded by its staff and its service users. It looks forward and does not conform to the traditional local authority stereotype. I have enjoyed talking to staff here - they come over as creative, committed and professional."
This accreditation was renewed in January 2005. The assessment report begins,"It was a pleasure to carry out the review of Bexley Council. Significant progress has been made since its original recognition and there is clearly a strong commitment to the Investors in People standard and its impact on people."
In her report, Claire Crayfor referred to the overall engagement of staff in Bexley’s goals and their evident commitment and passion to deliver excellent services.
On 23 April 2008 Bexley once again achieved successful in re-accreditation,
this time against a much tougher standard. As soon as the assessment report is
received we will update this site further.
Other external accreditations include
a number of Beacon
Council awards, Charter Marks, Green Flags and ISO 9000.
