Location

Bexley is situated in southeast London and enjoys a key position within the Thames Gateway, London's main development corridor. The Borough's strategic links include easy access to the major road routes of the M25, A2 and A20, as well fast and convenient connections to some of the UK's principal air, rail and sea links.

Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and City Airports are all within an hour's drive away, while London's mainline rail stations can be reached in under 30 minutes. In addition, Tilbury Docks and Thames Europort are 45 minutes distant, and the Channel Tunnel and Dover links to Europe are just over an hour by road.

Further planned improvements to local travel routes include proposed new Thames crossings and an upgrade to the Channel Tunnel rail link at nearby Ebbsfleet.
