Bexley Council's Economic Development Team has helped hundreds of businesses to start over the last 20 years.
From April 2007 an exciting new era began with the opening of the Thames Innovation Centre (TIC). From that date the TIC will provide help to pre-start-up, start-ups, small and medium sized businesses in the London Borough of Bexley, on behalf of the Economic Development Team. Most of this business support and training is free for London Borough of Bexley businesses and residents.
The Thames Innovation Centre – where innovation happens
 The support includes pre- and post start-up training, refresher courses, workshops and seminars, as well as expert advice provided in one-on-one sessions. We also provide practical workshops on-line marketing, google analytics and adwords and search engine optimisation, as a reduced price for Bexley business and residents.  If you have a knowledge-led business, or are thinking of setting one up, you also have the opportunity of renting space in our ultra-modern, environmentally-efficient gold apple award winning Thames Innovation Centre. The TIC is a prime location for start-up and small-to-medium sized companies in the London area. We offer prestigious serviced offices and conference and meeting venue, at low cost. We even have an IT training suite and software testing laboratory. Tenants receive a significant discount when they use our conference venue. We also provide discounts for off-site clients for multiple bookings. The venue can only be used for commercial purposes.
In addition, as a member of AIRTO*, the TIC acts as a bridge between entrepreneurs, universities and colleges, development agencies and R&D organisations. So if you want to develop a product and get expert advice from a University, we can help!

TIC Enterprise works with small to medium sized businesses, as well as with start-ups and pre-start-ups. This one-stop service includes training, workshops, business, marketing and financial planning as well as one-to-one business sessions.

The TIC boasts 54 fully serviced offices ranging in size from 215 sqft (20sqm) to 1701sqft (158sqm), together with 4 workshops (2 containing sinks and all containing 3-phase electricity). We also provide an all-in priced desk in a shared office.
