23 January 2012 - Councillors check on standards of care for vulnerable residents
Bexley councillors completed their 10th visit to local care homes last month - the first phase of a planned series of visits to check for themselves on the provision for vulnerable people in the borough.
16 January 2012 - A new library for Crayford
Crayford is to get a brand new library this summer, as part of a new housing and community development in the town centre.
5 January 2012 - Applications invited for Bexley's Corporate Small Grants Scheme
Bexley's Corporate Small Grants Scheme 2012 is providing £25,000 to be distributed amongst local community groups and voluntary organisations. The deadline for applications is Monday 6 February - so make sure you don't miss out on this excellent opportunity!
Beat the rush for bagged salt
With the risk of very cold weather returning in early February the Council is recommending residents plan ahead and purchase bagged salt to help keep their paths clear from snow and ice.
