Road Watch

The Council has an annual approved programme of work for both principal and non-principal roads.

Current road works around the Borough

There are also many minor and medium sized works, including carriageway potholes, patches and small footway repairs, which are carried out on an on-going reactive basis, which includes gully cleaning and street lighting maintenance.

• Station Road, Sidcup (Manor Road to Railway Bridge) - Carriageway resurfacing in progress (Night works).
• Days Lane, Sidcup (junction with Fen Grove) - Carriageway repairs to be undertaken 5 August 2013.
• Parkview Road/Crook Log, Bexleyheath - Carriageway repairs to be undertaken. Date to be advised.
• Danson Underpass/Lodge Lane, Bexleyheath - Footway repairs and Carriageway resurfacing to be undertaken commencing10 June 2013.

• Cray Road, Belvedere - Footway reconstruction to be undertaken commencing 28 June 2013.

• Eastern Way, Thamesmead (Belvedere Road Fly-over) - Centre reservation safety barriers are being installed on fly-over.

• Harrow Manorway, Thamesmead - Anchorage covers on cable footbridge to be replaced. Date to be advised.

2013 - 2014 Traffic and road safety schemes

• Barnehurst Traffic Safety Improvement Scheme - Traffic safety improvement scheme to commence in Beverley Road on 17 May 2013.
• Long Lane, Bexleyheath - Traffic calming scheme to be implemented commencing 7 October 2013.
