Setting the record straight

The London Borough of Bexley Communications Team deals with enquiries from the local and national media every day.

It also works closely with the media by issuing news releases, arranging briefings, interviews and other events.

Unfortunately, final media reports are not always completely accurate or balanced. This section of the website enables us to set the record straight.

• Parking fines

  The Bexley Times reported on 14 December 2011 that the London Borough of Bexley raised £842,000 from parking tickets.

• Bexley publishes the top 100 websites visited by staff

  The Leader of the Council has written to the Editor of the Evening Standard to respond to an article published in the paper on Tuesday 4 October 2011.

• Salaries

  There has been some media coverage recently of a petition regarding the salaries paid to members of the Council's senior management team.
