William White: Crayford's Unknown Warrior from the First World War
Crayford resident and primary school teacher, Peter Daniel, has written the education resource booklet, " 'Chalky' the Crayford Swallow: The Story of Private William White" which tells the story of Private William White.
This full colour educational resource includes many photographs and documents from the collections at Bexley Local Studies and Archive Centre and the National Army Museum and is beautifully illustrated by the award winning author and illustrator Michael Foreman. The cross curricular booklet contains many original and thought provoking class room activities aimed at Key Stage 2; History, Literacy, Numeracy, Art and Geography.
Please download the Learning resources PDFs from the Crayford history website using the link on the bottom right of screen and see also the classroom activity sheets "Song" and "Job advertisement" by opening the PDF files available at top right.
