Drug and Alcohol Action Team
The Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) is a fully integrated partner in the Bexley Community Safety Partnership.
This ensures the broad range of work required to reduce the harms that drug and alcohol cause to local communities is embedded within all community safety activities and interventions.
Members of the Community Safety team are actively involved with the commissioning of drug and alcohol treatment services and the planning of harm reduction and prevention projects for both adults and young people.
Drug training is also commissioned by the partnership to address priorities identified through the annual DAAT treatment planning process. One of the priorities is to provide drug awareness training to Tier 1 workers to equip them to deal with the issues of substance misuse and make referrals to treatment services with more confidence. During 2010/11 the following course will be delivered.
