Admission to secondary school in September 2014.
Offers of secondary school places for September 2014 were published on 3 March 2014.
If you applied online, you would have received an email during the evening of 3 March, with the outcome of your application.
The Council sent letters with details of the school place being offered to all families living in Bexley on 3 March by first class post, who were not offered their first preference or who did not apply online and were offered their first preference. If your letter has not arrived by the time your post is delivered on Wednesday 5 March , please call 0208 303 7777 to request a copy of the letter. This can either be sent by post, or can be collected in person from the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, Bexleyheath. If collecting the letter, you will need to provide photographic identification, and a proof of address. Please call before going to the Contact Centre to avoid any delay.
You have until Monday 17 March to accept or refuse the offer. If you applied online, you should do this by logging onto the eAdmissions website, or you can return the paper form enclosed with the letter offering the school place. If your response has not been received by the 17 March, the offer may be withdrawn. If you decline the offer, you must let us know which school your child will be attending instead.
You can ask for your child's name to be placed on the waiting lists for higher preference schools than the one offered, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org , or by returning the waiting list request slip enclosed with the offer letter, by 17 March.
Late applications will be dealt with by 31 March 2014 and you will be contacted by post regarding the outcome.
If you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer a place at any of your preferred schools, you should contact the school that you wish to appeal for. The admission authority for each school will publish a closing date for appeal requests to be received.
If you live in Bexley and you have not yet applied for a secondary school place for your child, you should do so as soon as possible on a paper application form. You can obtain an application form from the School Admissions Team. The School Admissions Team can tell you which schools in Bexley still have vacancies for September 2014.
