Core Strategy
The London Borough of Bexley formally adopted its Core Strategy on 22nd February 2012.
You can view the Core Strategy and its Adoption Statement together with the Sustainability Appraisal Report, Sustainability Adoption Statement and supporting documents below.
The Local Development Framework (LDF) will comprise a folder of planning policy documents to guide development in Bexley over the next 15 to 20 years. Eventually it will replace the Unitary Development Plan (UDP) and will help deliver the Sustainable Community Strategy.
The Core Strategy is at the heart of the LDF. It will provide a long-term vision for Bexley and contain policies to guide development in the borough. It will identify what the Council wants the borough to be like by 2026, how we aim to achieve it, who will be responsible for making it happen and how it will be monitored.
