Roads, cleaning and street lighting

Bexley maintains footways, road surfaces, subways, street lights, signs and all street furniture such as street name plates, litter bins and bollards.

Public Realm Management are responsible for maintaining:

  • 1,864 streets (totalling 530 kilometres of carriageway and 929 kilometres of footway)
  • 14 footbridges
  • 241 inland footpaths (totalling 6 kilometres)

The Council also installs vehicle crossovers for residents who wish to park on their property.
