Council Property for sale and rent, rooms for hire:

The Property Services Division is responsible for the disposal of all surplus Council property and offers to rent property held within the Council's non-operational portfolio. The Division also manages a number of shop units on behalf of Orbit South Housing Association. The Council also has available rooms for hire, details of which can also be found by selecting the page link on the left side of this page.

Property ownership enquiries:

If you wish to establish whether a particular property or area of land is owned by the Council you can either contact the Property Services Division by telephone 020 3045 4844, email propertyservices@bexley.gov.uk or by completing the Council Land Ownership Enquiry Form which is located under Related Media on the right hand side of this page. It is only possible to confirm whether or not the Council owns the particular property you are enquiring about. If the land or property is privately owned you will need to make enquiries of HM Land Registry. The website link is available from the right hand side.

You will then receive an email every time the council markets a property for sale or a commercial property to let.

The council's Economic Development Unit provides a service to businesses looking for premises in the borough as they have access to details of private commercial property being offered for sale or to rent.
