View Planning Applications and Comment On-Line
Planning Application Information Online allows you to view details of planning applications. You can monitor the progress of an application and make comments while it is being considered and have the ability to receive email notifications relating to the applications or locations you are interested in.
You can create and submit most types of planning application online via the Planning Portal, including the ability to upload drawings, purchase site maps and pay application fees. The Planning Portal also sets out clear advice as to what does and does not require planning permission. You are strongly advised to look at this before starting.
Enforcement action may be required where development has taken place without the benefit of planning permission or an action imposed on a planning permission has been ignored or abused.
The Council's Development Control department is responsible for processing applications made under the Town and Country Planning Acts.
Tree preservation orders
Trees are protected if they are in a conservation area, or if they are the subject of a tree preservation order (TPO). This prevents cutting down, uprooting, topping, lopping, wilful damage or destruction of trees and roots without our permission.
Our Planning Guide provides guidance for everyone who may become involved with the Planning process.
We hope you find it useful. It contains information about the different stages of the planning process, building regulations, planning enforcement and conservation as well as trees and hedgerows.
Also within the Planning Guide you will find adverts for a range of services.
