  Planning Aid for London is an independent charity which supports individuals and communities in need of support on town planning matters.

• Pre- Planning Application Advice Service

  The London Borough of Bexley welcomes and encourages pre-application discussion before a planning application is submitted.

• Street naming and numbering

  The present powers, which control street naming and numbering in the London Borough of Bexley and the Greater London area, are derived from Part II of the London Buildings Act (Amendment) Act 1939.

• Shopping centre boundaries

  In its UDP the Council identified nine town and 52 neighbourhood shopping centres where it tries to maintain a healthy and varied range of shops, frequently restraining the conversion of shops to alternative uses.

  More than two thirds of the UK population own a mobile phone.

• Location guidance for religious, social and community groups

  Bexley wants to work with religious, social and community groups to help find the right meeting locations for them - and the community at large.
