Common land/village green registration searches
Applications to search the Register of Common Land, Town or Village Green should be made on form CON29 O (2007) and sent to the local land charges section accompanied by two plans.

Application to register a new town, village green or common land
Application forms and guidance notes for registering new greens can be downloaded from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). You may also find the Open Spaces Society website helpful. When you have completed your forms, please telephone the local land charges section on 020 3045 4000 to arrange an appointment to hand in the forms and supporting documentation.
