Adoption
In Bexley we have a number of children who for a variety of reasons are not able to live with their family of birth.
We need adoptive parents who can offer these children a stable loving family life and meet their needs throughout their childhood and in to adulthood. Adoption is a process by which all of the decision-making rights and responsibilities towards a child are transferred to adopters.
The children who need adoptive families come from a variety of age groups, they may need to be placed together with siblings and they could have special learning needs or a disability. Many have had a difficult early start in life and need parents who can offer particularly sensitive care and attention.
Adoption has changed and the route to adoption can be a challenge. But in Bexley we are here to help, advise and support adoptive parents to meet the challenge. We are an experienced team who are able to understand peoples different life experiences and cultural or religious backgrounds.
We have regular information meetings where you can come and find out more about adopting in Bexley.
