Environmental Sustainability Strategy

The London Borough of Bexley adopted an Environmental Sustainability Strategy in 2011. The Strategy is available under related downloads.

The Environmental Sustainability Strategy brings together the Council's responsibilities for environmental sustainability, drawing out areas of mutual benefit within these responsibilities and between environmental sustainability and other responsibilities. It also identifies potential issues between environmental sustainability responsibilities and provides an Action Plan. The Strategy also provides a single source of information about Council policy on a wide range of environmental sustainability issues. The Strategy will support the Sustainable Community Strategy; and influence future policies and actions of the Council which impact upon environmental sustainability.

Consultation

The London Borough of Bexley gave residents and community groups, businesses, and statutory agencies with an interest in environmental sustainability the opportunity to influence the final form of the Strategy.
