Bexley has a well-established and proactive approach to communicating with its residents, partners and the wider world and uses a wide range of media, from traditional print and advertising, to electronic and interactive media. |

Members' Allowances Scheme |
The London Borough of Bexley has adopted a new Members' Allowances Scheme in accordance with the Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (England) Regulations 2003 for the period 1 April 2007 to 31 March 2008. |

Mental health |
There are two Mental Health Teams in Bexley which provide a wide range of services to people who have mental health problems and their carers. One Community Mental Health Team is based in Erith, the other in Bexleyheath. |

Mentoring |
Bexley Education Business Partnership supports the Borough's secondary schools with various forms of mentoring. There is a regular need for volunteers from the business and wider community to whom training is given. |

Mortuary Service |
The mortuary at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup is provided for the reception and storage of bodies of people who have died in the community in Bexley and whose deaths have to be referred to the Coroner. It is also provided for those who have died whilst in-patients at the Queen Mary's Hospital, whether or not their deaths are to be reported to the Coroner. The mortuary is owned by the NHS but also provides a service to HM Coroner, autopsy facilities for specialist forensic and general hospital pathologists.
The Mortuary is managed for the "Queen Mary's Sidcup NHS Trust" by their Mortuary Manager to whom all queries should be addressed in the first instance.
The public (Coroner's) side of the service is dealt with by the Coroner's Office, who should be contacted for more information. |

Motor bike training courses |
Anyone wanting to ride a motor bike must, by law, have completed a basic training course with an approved body. |

Museums |
Bexley has a museum at Hall Place (see 'Hall Place') which covers the history of the borough and a local museum at Erith Library which charts the development of Erith and its industries.

Music |
Bexley encourages the participation of people of all ages in music and the arts. Information is available about local choirs, orchestras and opportunities for tuition as well as local musical events.
