Bexley Education Business Partnership's Reading Partners scheme encourages volunteers from businesses and the community to spend regular time (weekly) either reading, playing number games or working on the computer (I.T.) with pupils on a one-to-one or one-to-two basis. |

Registration of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships |
To register a birth or a death that occurred in the Bexley borough or to make arrangments to be married or enter into a civil partnership, or give notice of marriage or civil partnership, contact the Register Office.
Copies of certificates can be obtained for a fee. |

Advice and information is available for businesses that may be considering relocating to premises within the borough. |

Renovation Grants |
The Council award grants to owner occupiers and landlords to help towards the cost of carrying out repairs. Grants are awarded according to priority, which takes into account the owner's income, extent of the problem and the likely impact on the occupier's health. |

Residential care |
The Council is responsible for arranging residential or nursing care if someone
is assessed as having a need for it. If you do not already receive these services,
please telephone our screeners on 01322 356393.
The amount you pay towards residential care depends on your income and savings. The Council may also be able to arrange respite or relief care.

London Borough of Bexley's Resources plus helps people resident in Bexley,
Lewisham and Greenwich to find and obtain the right job for them. Working in
partnership with JobCentre Plus, we can provide you with listings of current

London Borough of Bexley maintains the Definitive Map and Statement, which shows all Public Footpaths, Bridleways and Byways Open to All Traffic (BOATs). |

Road safety education, training and publicity |
Road Safety Unit provides information, education, training and publicity on road safety matters.
The Road Safety Unit is responsible for school crossing patrols (lollipop people) in the Borough. It also has a School Travel Co-ordinator responsible for promoting alternatives to car us for journeys to and from school |
