Sensory Support Service

The Sensory Support Service provides services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, those who have visual impairment and those who are Deafblind.

If you do not already receive these services, please telephone our screeners on 020 8303 7777 ext. 6363.

The Visual Impairment Team will be able to deal with enquiries about services available for blind or partially-sighted people and handles registration of the blind.

We also provide specialist help if you are deaf or hard of hearing.

Shopmobility

Shopmobility is a wheelchair-lending service operated from the Broadway Centre, Bexleyheath to help all those with limited mobility to get around the shopping centre. The service is managed by the Bexley Association of Disabled People of 20 Whitehall Lane, Erith, Kent DA8 2DH.
For more information please call the number on the right between 10am and 3pm on Tuesday or Friday. An answerphone is available at all other other times.

Shopping Centre Boundaries

In its UDP the Council identified 9 town and 52 neighbourhood shopping centres where it tries to maintain a healthy and varied range of shops, frequently restraining the conversion of shops to alternative uses. These tables indicate the ground floor premises surveyed whenever the current mix of uses is examined.

Social work for older people & adults with physical disabilities
