Team will be out in force in Bexleyheath Broadway on Friday 6 July, giving
a renewed boost to a year-long, London-wide 'Stop Means Stop' Campaign.
Don't be surprised to see young pirates and fairies running
around Belvedere Splash Park next month in search of buried treasure! The park
is hosting a special treasure hunt on the day the Tour de France comes through
the borough (8 July).
Fears about the management of JJ Newsagents, 221 Bellegrove
Road, Welling, led to the shop being targeted by Bexley Council and police
in a recent joint working initiative aimed at tackling underage sales of alcohol.
A warning that people should check before simply assuming that
organisations collecting old clothes are charities was issued this week by
Bexley Trading Standards.
Bexley Council has selected Kent Community Housing Trust (KCHT)
to provide support services to residents in some of the borough's sheltered
housing schemes.

Crayford will be closed on Sunday 8 July. The depot is on the route that Tour
de France cyclists will take when they come racing through the borough.

wife Hilary have been learning more about eye health as they joined thousands
of young people and adults across the country to support the Guide Dogs for
the Blind Association's Shades Day, which is on Friday 29 June 2007.
