It's official - the London Borough of Bexley is the first local
authority in the country to have all of its schools achieve the national Healthy
Schools status.
Bexley Town Safe has been awarded the Safer Business Award (SBA)
by Action Against Business Crime (AABC).
Bexley's youngsters can sign-up for free cyclist training courses,
which will run throughout the February half-term.

Will Tuckley has been appointed as Chief Executive of the London
Borough of Bexley following an extensive recruitment and selection process.
Mr Tuckley, 48, beat a strong field to secure the post, which is the first
external appointment of a Chief Executive to the London Borough of Bexley for
more than 20 years.
Proposals for major changes to the meals on wheels service provided
by Bexley will be discussed by the Council's Cabinet on 5 February.
Local children were on hand to help out with a tree planting
ceremony in the grounds of Bostall Library last Friday (4 January ). The tree,
a Rowan, was one of four donated by the North West Kent Countryside Partnership
to Bexley Library Service.
Barnehurst Infant School teachers and pupils had an extra Christmas
present this year when Ofsted inspectors described their school as 'good' with
'outstanding features'.
