20 March - Getting Sidcup Moving

The London Borough of Bexley's Cabinet approved the final proposals for improving the flow of traffic in Sidcup during the Public Cabinet meeting on 19 March. The improvements will be implemented over the coming months.

20 March - Independence Wellbeing And Choice - Inspection By Commission For Social Care

During November 2007 an inspection team from the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) visited the London Borough of Bexley to find out how well the Council was safeguarding adults whose circumstances made them vulnerable, how well the London Borough of Bexley was delivering personalised services for older people and the Council's capacity to improve.

The London Borough of Bexley has launched the next stage in the regeneration of Erith Western Gateway, by issuing details of an exhibition of illustrative master plans created by two developers - Crest Nicholson/Orbit Group and Gleeson.

18 March - Sidcup Dispersal Zone To Cut Youth Disorder

Bexley Police and the London Borough of Bexley have joined together to place a new 'dispersal zone' around the station area of Sidcup, to combat anti-social behaviour. It will come into effect from 8pm on Friday 14 March and last for six months.

17 March - Flats Get Long Awaited Refurbishment

A badly deteriorated five storey block of flats at Princesses Parade, Crayford, is undergoing long awaited refurbishment thanks to financial assistance from the London Borough of Bexley.

14 March - Spring Cleaning Frobisher Road

Residents are being invited to take part in a community clean up in Frobisher Road, Erith on Saturday 15 March at 10am.

The London Borough of Bexley is warning parents of the risks in buying or using second-hand car seats for their children - including invisible damage and missing instructions.

11 March - Bexley's Drug And Alcohol Offices Open For Business

The London Borough of Bexley's Drug & Alcohol Team have moved to new offices in Bexleyheath. The move from the Brampton Road offices will provide clients with a central location with good transport links and the facilities to increase the number of rehabilitation and intervention programmes the team offers.

Bexley secondary students have once again shown they have got what it takes - as recent results place Bexley 11th out of 32 for Key Stage Three results across London.
