Treasures To Be Found At Splash Parks!

Sharp-eyed youngsters will be able to join in two special Treasure Hunts at the borough's splash parks during the school spring break.

The two fun days are free and do not need to be pre-booked. Remember though, prizes are limited in number and therefore distributed on 'a first come, first served basis' until supplies run out - so the earlier you start hunting the better chance you have!

Staff, dressed as pirates, will be over-seeing the events, which take place promptly as follows:

  • Danson Splash Park Wednesday 28 May 11.30am onwards
  • Belvedere Splash Park Friday 30 May 11am onwards

Refreshments are available at both parks and there will be a special deal for adults on Treasure Hunt days, with a hot drink, Ribena and cake for just £1.50.

If you can't make either of the Treasure Hunt days don't despair! The free-to-use splash parks will be open for general water play fun every day until September and another exciting programme of free events has already been organised for August - so keep your eyes peeled for details nearer the time.

The opening hours for Danson Park, Danson Road, Bexleyheath, are 10am-6pm, while Belvedere Splash Park, at the junction of Woolwich Road/Heron Hill, opens from 11am-6pm.

Further details about the splash parks are available from Outdoor Recreation on 020 8294 6188. Alternatively visit www.bexley.gov.uk/outdoorrecreation
