Bexley's Library Services Available Night or Day
The London Borough of Bexley's Library Service has been made even more accessible
with the launch a new website called Bexley Libraries Online.
In one easily accessible place you can renew your library items, request books,
DVDs and talking books, as well as find details of local groups and events.
You can also search databases such as Encyclopaedia Britannica and Oxford
English Dictionary, check when the libraries are open and find out about activities
and services, such as using a computer at your local library.
The website is divided into themed 'rooms', such as Children, Parents, Teens,
Lifestyle and Entertainment. Here you will find reading suggestions for adults
and children, homework and study help, ideas for your leisure time, where to
get advice locally, and much more.
You can also check out what libraries are doing for the National Year of Reading
and read exclusives from authors who have visited Bexley's libraries. The Reading
Room has book reviews by library customers and staff and more are always welcomed.
Cabinet Member for Leisure, Arts and Tourism, Cllr
Peter Catterall said: "The
new Library Service website has something for everyone. It is fun, informative
and easy to use for people of all ages and abilities."
You do not need to be a library member to look at the website but, if you
have a valid library card, you will be able to access your account and use
the online databases. Joining the Library Service is free and you can even
do it on the site.
Bexley Libraries Online can be found at here, so log
on and explore it for yourself.
