Summer Slam

Are you beginning to think of things to do with the whole family this summer? Well why not start by visiting the popular Summer Slam events held during the first full week of the summer holidays? They are at different locations across the borough during the week and each one will have something for all the family.

Organised by the London Borough of Bexley the Summer Slam brings a host of activities and local organisations to each venue. Charlton Athletic FC will be at each one. But if football isn't your thing, then how about cricket, tennis or bowls?

Each venue will have something different going on including art workshops for those less sporty visitors. Activities will include face painting, drawing and dancing, including some live music acts.

Details of the events being held from 12 noon to 4pm each day are as follows:

Monday 28 July - Southlake Centre, Thamesmead Tuesday 29 July - East Wickham Open Space Wednesday 30 July - Northumberland Heath Recreation Ground Thursday 31 July - Blackfen School For Girls Friday 1 August - Russell Park Open Space
