Learn More About Where You Live

Are you 12 - 16 years old? How about researching your local area by visiting the Local Studies and Archive Centre at Bexleyheath?

The two new free courses are aimed at young people who are interested in local history, photographs of Bexley, computer resources and old local newspapers on microfilm.

During the course you can find out more about the development of your area including your home, transport, shops and environment. Or look into Bexley's past using old maps, postcards, microfilm records of newspapers and online digital images of past times.

The two courses are due to take place 13, 14 and 15 August, 10am – 12.00 noon and 27, 28 and 29 August 2pm – 4pm.

Find out more by visiting the Local Studies and Archive Centre at the Central Library, Bexleyheath or call 020 8309 4138.

The courses are part of Bexley's Summer University programme. Find out more about the Summer University here or call the Family Information Service on 020 8856 5398.
