We asked: What is your Vision for Bexley?
Congratulations to our lucky winner Mrs. C.H. Cook, who completed our
survey and won £50 in vouchers in the prize draw!
In Winter 2007 we asked for your suggestions for the future, which will be
set out in Bexley's Sustainable Community Strategy. The Partnership set out several aims for the borough and asked you to indicate which aims you felt were of high, medium or low priority.
You said:
About 3,000 responses were received and the top rated priorities were -
-
Reducing the level of anti-social behaviour on our streets,
and the need to reduce crime and the fear of crime.
- Customer access to high quality health services such as GPs and hospital
care.
- Raising educational standards for children and young people in our
schools, and narrowing the gaps for vulnerable groups.
- Maintaining a high quality environment making Bexley a clean and attractive
borough.
We listened to your views, and have weighed these against scientific evidence of need to set our priorities for action over the next three years.
We will deliver the objectives set out in BexleyTogether and its delivery agreement, the Local Area Agreement. Our performance against the objectives will be reported to you in annual progress reports.
