Dispersal Zones
Under Section 30 of the Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003, Police and Local Authorities have the power to designate dispersal zones. This allows police to disperse groups of two or more people in the zones and take home under 16-year-olds if they are causing intimidation, harassment, alarm or distress to local residents and businesses.
There is now one separate dispersal zone in place within the borough of
