How we can help
Do you need information?
FIS has leaflets, booklets, and a variety of other kinds of information on
a variety of childcare options, including:
We can tell you what they offer, when they are open, and where to find them.
We will usually have information about what they charge and whether they have
any vacancies.
We can also advise you on getting help with your childcare costs.
This information will be available in a number of different languages - please
let us know in advance if you need an interpreter.
Are you looking for childcare for the first time?
The choices can be confusing - perhaps you are not sure about the difference
between one type of childcare and another.
This website offers explanations of most childcare services - but if you wish,
FIS staff will be happy to discuss the options available. You will have the chance
to talk through what is best for you and your child.
All enquiries will be treated as confidential.
The Bexley FIS does not make recommendations. It is the responsibility of
the parent or carer to choose the most suitable care. The FIS does aim to offer
a high quality service however, and to this end, we operate a publicly available
complaints policy: just ask for a leaflet.

You will find information on carer and toddler groups, leisure activities,
support services, libraries, schools, nannies, healthcare and other childcare
related activities.
If we do not hold information on a specific topic we can signpost
you to the appropriate information point.
