Bexley Connexions

Bexley Connexions is responsible for bringing together a wide range of services within Bexley to help young people between the ages of 13 to 19 (up to 25 with special needs) with issues that may be challenging them in their lives. Connexions Targeted Personal Advisers provide both one-to-one services and group support to help young people engage in education, training, and work and personal development opportunities. Targeted Personal Advisers are all about helping young people reach their full potential.

Targeted Personal Advisers (PAs) come from a variety of backgrounds and use individual expertise to assist young people in the best possible manner. By working in partnership with the young person and identifying specific needs, the PA can offer support, guidance, and direction that will lead to positive solution building.

PAs also work with other organizations throughout Bexley, as well schools, colleges, training institutions, and employers to help develop a broad network of support and opportunity for all young people in need of assistance.

Aside from supporting young people to achieve their full potential, PAs are also employed to listen objectively and provide advice and information in key life areas such as health, education, lifestyle, housing, relationships, and others. Above all, PAs are committed and dedicated to always work with the best interest of young people in mind. A critical component of the PA role is to support and enable young people to resolve personal issues which may have presented barriers to them pursuing employment, education, and training opportunities.
