Education is our Future
Behaviour for Learning Strategy
The vast majority of children and young people enjoy learning, work hard and
behave well. But the behaviour of some is a serious concern for many schools.
The poor behaviour of a minority can create distress for others, adversely affect
their learning, and undermine the positive climate of the whole school community.
 The Council has therefore devised a Behaviour for Learning
Strategy that represents
the shared thinking of the Bexley learning community, as explored and recorded
in an Open Space event which took place in April 2005, on how to address these
issues. It fully reflects the views expressed through the consultation process
and sets out the aspirations of everyone with a part to play in children's and
young people's learning.
