European Parliamentary Election

The Notice of Election for the European Parliamentary Election London Region has been published and is viewable below. Nomination papers may be obtained from the Regional Returning Officer, London Borough of Lewisham, Town Hall, Catford, SE6 4RU.


Elections for the European Parliament take place every 5 years. On Thursday 4 June 2009 voters in the UK will go to the polls to elect 72 Members of the European Parliament (MEPS), for twelve electoral regions, represented by between 3 and 10 MEPS each. Voters in Bexley will be voting for 8 MEPS for the London Region. Each MEP in a region represents each person living there, so if you live in Bexley, all 8 London Region MEPS will represent you and you can contact any or all of them.
