Bexley Council is working in partnership with the London Energy Saving
Trust Advice Centre and the Care Partners Trust (CPT) to promote energy efficiency
for everyone.

Staying Put
There is a scheme for vulnerable persons called Staying Put administered
by the Care Partners Trust. This scheme offers help and advice on home improvements,
repairs and adaptations. It is a service offered to the residents of Bexley Borough.
They can also arrange for heating improvements and repairs and assist you with
grant advice.

A household consisting of a family in receipt of income or disability
related benefits with children under the age of 16
Coldbusters
Coldbusters is a local scheme operated in partnership
with other local authorities and local installers administered by CEN (Creative
Environmental Networks) based in Thornton Heath. In this means tested benefit
scheme, a grant can provide, as appropriate for:
- A new central heating system or heating boiler
- Upgraded heating controls
- Cavity wall insulation and loft insulation
- Draughtproofing
Eligibility depends on receiving one or more of the following benefits:
- Income Support
- Income-Based Job Seeker's Allowance
- Council Tax Benefit
- Housing Benefit
- Guaranteed Pension Credit
- Working Tax Credit or Family Tax Credit with earnings of less than £15,050
- Over 60 with savings of less than £6,000
- Attendance Allowance
- Disability Living Allowance

Warmfront Scheme
Warmfront Scheme is administered by the Eaga Partnership
. It is funded by Central Government working with local authorities and utility
companies to offer households grant funded insulation and heating improvements.
This is a means tested benefit scheme.
Warm Front remains the Government's main tool for tackling fuel poverty in the
private sector in England. Anyone who thinks they may be eligible can contact
Warm Front on 0800 316 6011.
Warm Front will provide a Benefit Entitlement Check as standard for these callers.
Those who are identified as eligible for Pension Credit would be passed to The
Pension Service and the benefit application taken. The householder would then
be eligible for free central heating under Warm Front.

Warm and Wise Scheme
The Warm and Wise Scheme is a local discounted scheme for
householders not in receipt of an income or disability benefit. It provides discounts
for energy efficiency measures from local suppliers and contractors and is administered
by CEN in Thornton Heath.
