The
Mayor of London's Green Homes programme provides information and advice for
homeowners, tenants and landlords on simple green practices that will help reduce
the city's CO2 emissions and achieve the bold targets in the Mayor's Climate
Change Action Plan.
The Green Homes Concierge
Service is a paid-for service designed for homeowners who want to make more
significant changes to their homes without the hassle. The innovative tailor-made
service provides a customised audit of a property, including a thermal image,
and a ‘blow door’ test to identify sources of draughts; a report
of recommended ways to reduce emissions; and, if wanted, full project management
of a programme to cut emissions, including sourcing of competitive quotes. The
subsidised service costs £199 for annual membership. For more information

Energy Performance Certificates for homes
The
Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) gives home owners, tenants and buyers
information on the energy efficiency of their property. It gives the building
a standard energy and carbon emission efficiency grade from ‘A’ to ‘G’,
where ‘A’ is the best and with the average to date being D/E.

organisations to adapt to inevitable climate change.
