Household recycling and waste collection arrangements
Between May - July 2008 your collection will change to the Improved Recycling Service. This means that recyclables will be collected weekly and waste will be collected fortnightly. This will happen in two main stages:
Stage 1 - Around six weeks before these changes occur in your road you will receive a leaflet explaining the new service.
Stage 2 - Two weeks before the new collection begins a wheeled green waste bin will be delivered to your property. It will have a sticker on the lid showing when your first fortnightly waste collection will be.
Some properties will not be part of the wheeled bin waste service. These properties will receive weekly recyclable collections on the same day as their waste. For more information about this please call 020 8303 7777 option 1.
Until you receive the above information your collections will remain the same.

Bulk waste collections
If you dispose of your rubbish in the larger bulk waste containers then please ring 020 8303 7777, option 1 for more information. These bins will continue to be collected on the same frequency.
Holiday collection arrangements
In the week after a public holiday (e.g. Easter Monday),
waste and recycling collections are normally run one day late.
Please place your waste and recycling out for collection at front
edge of property by 6.45am.
Reuse and Recycling Centres
The Council's Reuse and Recycling Centres at Thames Road,
Crayford and Maidstone Road, Foots Cray, are open throughout the holiday
period as normal from 7.30am to 4.00pm. On Christmas Day and Boxing Day the centres are closed. On New Year's Day the centres are open from 10am to 2pm.

Please note there is only an emergency phone cover Bank Holidays
as Council Offices are closed.
