Illegal Signs / Fly-Posting

The Enviro Crime Team can now issue £75 fixed penalty tickets for each sign erected without permission.

It is illegal to erect unauthorised signs on the highway and any signs that are erected without permission are promptly removed. The same applies to fly-posting.

If you see any signs, which have been illegally attached to street furniture such as lamp columns or street railings, please report them to the Enviro Crime Team using the contact details on the left, or complete the form below.

It is particularly useful if you are able to obtain a registration number of a vehicle being used by the person erecting the signs.
