Special Bulky Waste

Bulky Waste - CouchHow can I dispose of my bulky waste?

You can take your unwanted bulky items and garden waste to either of the Council's Reuse and Recycling Centres at Thames Road, Crayford or Maidstone Road, Foots Cray.

At these sites, residents can dispose of up to half a tonne of Waste free of charge, providing a permit sticker is shown. Above this there is a charge of £94.00* per tonne (minumum charge £17.00*) for normal household waste and £61.00* per tonne (minumum charge £14.00*) for green waste.

Vans are not admitted to the Foots Cray Reuse and Recycling Centre, regardless of whether they are commercially or privately owned. They must go to our Thames Road site where they may be subject to a charge.

You can dispose of excess garden waste by purchasing paper sacks from the Council at £0.20* each. Sacks are available from the Reuse and Recycling Centres, Libraries, and Civic Offices. Up to five sacks can be placed out for collection next to your Brown Bin each week.

Alternatively you can take advantage of Bexley’s special bulkly waste collection service.

*Current charges are valid until 31st March 2008.
