Beer bottles
Kerbside: These materials can
be placed in your black box.
Flats: These can be placed in the wheelie bin with
the green lid or in the green euro bin.
Reuse and Recycling Centres: These materials can be recycled
at either centre.
Drinking glasses
If in good condition, you can always donate the item to a local charity shop.
If broken, chipped etc. please dispose of in your normal household waste,
ensuring that the item is wrapped in newspaper to protect the collection crews.
Glass food and jam jars
Glass jars are useful for storing nails, screws etc. How about
reusing jars and making home made jam.
Kerbside: These materials can
be placed in your black box.

with the green lid or in the green euro bin.
Reuse and Recycling Centres: These can be recycled
at either centre.
Lightbulbs/fluorescent tubes
Use low energy light bulbs. They save energy as well as money on your bills.
They also last 8 times longer so you won’t need to keep changing them and
disposing of bulbs.
Reuse and Recycling Centres: We accept all lightbulbs and
fluorescent tubes. Mercury from fluorescent tubes is safely recovered and all
other materials are recycled.
Mirrors
If in good condition, you can always donate the item to a local charity shop.
