Trees in the Borough

Trees in Open Spaces, Parks or on the public highway are looked after by our Trees and Woodlands Section.

Any enquiry, or if you wish a list of persons able and willing to act as either Consultants or Contractors in Arboriculture: please contact our Trees and Woodlands Officer Graham Mollison, on ext. 3661.

Adopt-A-Tree

You can adopt a new tree outside your house. All you have to do to care for your tree is:

  • Water tree thoroughly every 8 to 10 days during April to September
  • Keep tree pit clear of weeds to avoid competition
  • Check stake and ties for stability
  • Firm soil after frost or strong winds.
  • If your tree does not look well, call Highways and Amenities on 020 8303 7777, Option 1.

If you would like to adopt a new tree outside your house, subject to a survey to check the position is suitable, please fill in the form below.
