Walk Wonders - Hold your own Walk Wonders event to help people living with cancer

Description

Walk Wonders is Macmillan Cencer Support's big walking event.

All you have to do is decide where and when to walk, get family and friends to join you, and then get sponsored for you efforts.

By taking part in a walk, not only will you enjoy a fun-filled, family day out, you'll also be helping people affected by cancer.

If you would rather attend one of Macmillan's organised walks, why not take part in the Mad Hatters Walk along the Thames Pathway on 8th June?

Erith Drum Club will be running two drumming workshops at the Erith Riverside Festival.

They will be a chance to have a go on various types of drums from around the world (from South America to Asia, from East Europe to Africa to the Middle East), to learn some rhythms and do some jamming.

There will be a follow up program of weekly workshops for younger people to be run in the Larner Road area of Erith during June / July, leading to a performance at the Larner Road 'Fun Day' (contact me for more details).

The exhibition will feature up to 15 quality layouts including Riversdale (US – HO), Marlin Road (SR British  – OO), Scullers Farm (British - N), Manor Lane TMD (Modern Image British), St Mellion (BR Western – OO), to name but a few. As well as static displays (including ‘full size’ Classic Cars and an RT Bus), there will also be trade support selling a whole variety of products including DVDs and videos, rolling stock and spares (both new and old) in N and OO gauge. Please note further layouts and exhibitors will continue to be added right up to the last minute. There will also be hot and cold drinks and extensive refreshments at very reasonable prices.

The workshop will introduce sculpture-working with a life model to construct a figure, head and shoulders or portrait bust using armatures and modelling clay.
