Consultation and Feedback
During September to December 2006 the Supporting People Team sent out and assessed forms that asked people who use services provided through the programme to let us know about the support service they receive. Please see the results from this survey and a copy of the analysis below.
Bexley Supporting People Programme is committed to gathering information from, consulting with and informing service users and other stakeholders of all aspects of the delivery of the framework in Bexley. Service User consultation will take a varied form, and “one size does not fit all” to ensure that the Supporting People consultation strategy ensures that methods of consultation are culturally appropriate to the communities living in Bexley.
The Bexley Supporting People partnership is committed to consulting with Service Users to ensure that all services are high quality, represent good value for money and meet Service User’s needs. The Bexley Supporting People Team has produced this document as an initial guide for your organisation’s development of its consultation mechanisms. There are of course some service Providers that already have well developed consultation processes and we would like to thank all those who have provided details of these. We have included examples of these in this guide.
The Supporting People hold annual Service User and Carer Speak Out events as well as quarterly Service User forums to gether information and views from people who currently use or may require SP type services. This information is very important to the council as it helps us to improve and develop services that meet needs. If you wish to tell us anything about a service or have ideas on how we can improve please let us know. You can attend one the annual speak out days, any Service User forum, call us direct, submit an online feedback form or complete the feedback form below.
Areas of Opportunity held a consultation with Slade Green Community Forum, and these notes reflect the views of those local residents in attendance that participated in the Discussion Groups.
