Licensing Act 2003

Applications made to the Council for the review of an existing Premises Licence or Club Premises Certificate are listed below. Applications for the review of a licence are posted on this list on the day, or at the very latest the day after, the application is received by the Council. Applications will remain on the list until the last date for representation is passed, unless the application for a review is rejected by the Council or withdrawn by the applicant*. The maintenance of this list by way of removing applications will take place on a weekly basis.

*Applications made by the Police under Section 53A of the Licensing Act that relate to serious crime or serious disorder or both must be determined by the Council.

It should be noted that the list only details the main ground(s) of review and that additional information about the review is provided on the application form which is held by the Licensing Team, 2a Hadlow Road, Sidcup, Kent, DA14 4AF (Telephone: 020 8308 7672 or 7673). Applications are open for inspection by the public between 9am and 5pm on weekdays.

Under the Licensing Act 2003 only "Responsible Authorities" and "Interested Parties" are eligible to make representations to an application for the review of a licence. "Responsible Authorities" are public bodies such as the police and fire authority and "Interested Parties" are, in broad terms only, those persons living or operating a business in the vicinity of the premises.

The Licensing Team has prepared a guidance note entitled "Making Representations" which can be viewed via the How to Object section of this web site. Any person wishing to make representations should refer to this guidance prior to submitting their comments to the Council.
