The Licensing Team deals with the range of licences, registrations, permits and certificates listed below. Click directly on the subject matter for information as to when a licence is required and how much it will cost.

In many instances the application process allows for local residents and business to lodge objections. Information on how to object to an application is provided under the How to Object section.

Where an application is opposed, or if the Director of Law & Administration does not have delegated Authority, the Council's Licensing Sub-Committee will determine it. Reports presented to both the main Licensing Committee and its Sub Committees can be accessed via Council's Agendas, Reports and Decisions.

When determining applications the Licensing Sub Committee sits in a quasi-judicial capacity. Hearings are conducted in accordance with the Code of Licensing Applications Procedures, which can be viewed via the Licensing Code section.
