The Licensing Team deals with the range of licences, registrations,
permits and certificates listed below. Click directly on the subject

In many instances the application process allows for local residents and business to lodge objections. Information on how to object to an application is provided under the How to Object section.
Reports
Where an application is opposed, or if the Director of Law &
Administration does not have delegated Authority, the Council's
Licensing Sub-Committee will determine it. Reports presented to
both the main Licensing Committee and its Sub Committees can be
accessed via Council's Agendas, Reports and Decisions.
When determining applications the Licensing Sub Committee sits
in a quasi-judicial capacity. Hearings are conducted in accordance
with the Code of Licensing Applications Procedures, which can be
viewed via the Licensing Code
section.

Gambling Act 2005
The Gambling Act 2005 is set to introduce a new regulatory system to govern
the provision of all gambling in Great Britain. Read the Statement
