Diversity

Aim

• To increase and broaden the community use made of parks

Objectives

• Introduce an up-to-date policy for the hire of parks and open spaces
• Find new uses for redundant buildings in parks and open spaces and remove the ones that are not needed any more
• Set a policy for play provision that caters for all ages
• Improve access for members of the community with particular needs

Actions

• Introduce a new Hire of Open Spaces policy
• Continue to review public conveniences in parks
• Examine and update provision made for children's playgrounds
• Conduct surveys and research to identify best practice and areas for improvement
