Ranger Service

The people who patrol Bexley's parks

Experienced, qualified Rangers regularly patrol all of Bexley's Parks and Open Spaces.

The Rangers provide a mobile response service which can divert its resources where needed most. They are able to give information about the parks, to carry out patrols to help deter vandalism and to keep the parks safe for users, to monitor the local wildlife, ensuring their habitats are not disturbed, and to react to emergencies.

Their objective is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all to enjoy.

The Rangers also work with volunteer groups, schools, scout, cub and brownie groups, libraries and other children's organisations, giving talks and 'hands on' sessions helping them to learn about and appreciate the importance of their local wildlife environment from an early age.
